These two trees here are the same variety. These are called Lagerstroemia Indica, the common name is going to be a Crepe Myrtle tree. This is one of our favorites. These two here are my favorites to use.
This one here is a white flower as you can see. It’s a pretty white flower. But the thing that’s unique about this Crepe Myrtle here is when its gets older, the bark turns cinnamon color. It has cinnamon and white and it peels in different colors, so as it matures the bark is really stunning. This is the largest of the Crepe Myrtles. This one would get about twenty-five to thirty feet tall.
This one here is probably my favorite of all crepe myrtles. This is called a Muskogee as you can see the flowers are almost lavender, a light purple color. There are many colors to choose from as you can see, you have white, you have purple, in the background you have a Tuscarora, kind of a reddish color. The only drawback to these is they tend to get aphids every year.
Contact our tree division, we can take care of that for you. It’s a product you put down once a year in the spring, and you don’t have to worry about aphids the entire year.
